I read a bit of fan speculation somewhere that speculated:
a) Chell might've become a test subject because she was one of the daughters at the Bring Your Daughter To Work Day Massacre.
b) Chell might've been Caroline's daughter, due to the minor resemblance in features and build.
I just really wanted to draw little Chell, cause I think her nose is so darn cute. And the idea that Caroline was a lot nicer than GLaDOS pleases me.
Irony: In this headcanon, your daughter made the potato battery that you ended up stuck in, GLaDOS. I laugh at your pain.
